Primary Purpose:
Coordinate campus curriculum and instructional programs and collaborate with campus and district staff, as well as external partners, to implement strategies that improve instructional effectiveness and student performance in assigned areas such as Mathematics, English, Social Studies, and Science.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree (preferred)
- T-TESS certification (preferred)
- Mid-Management Certification (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to organize and coordinate campus curriculum programs
- Ability to interpret data
- Ability to provide ongoing, targeted professional development to core area teachers
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction implementation
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
- Three years’ experience as a classroom teacher; supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Program Management:
- Implement procedures to identify and monitor achievement of students in assigned core area classes at all grade levels at the campus level.
- Improve core area instruction through curriculum differentiation and best practices.
- Develop and coordinate a continuous evaluation process for core academic programs, regularly present findings to stakeholders, and implement strategic changes based on data analysis.
- Holds regular meetings with Professional Learning Communities (PLC’S) on an individual and group basis in order to facilitate communication and evaluate instruction within the departments.
- Appropriately order textbooks and supplementary materials used in the implementation of the instruction program.
- Communicates effectively with district consultants and district administration in the coordination of the instructional process and lesson internationalization.
- Communicates effectively with diagnosticians and special education teachers in determining the needs of students.
- Oversee and coordinate all HB 1416 student requirements to ensure student needs are met effectively and in compliance with state guidelines. Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and consistently communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee campus Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) practices to ensure struggling students are identified early and provided with appropriate, data-driven interventions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor coaching plans for returning staff in need, providing targeted support to improve instructional practices and student outcomes.
- Model and demonstrate effective instructional lessons, both in and out of the classroom, to support teacher growth and improve student learning outcomes.
- Coordinate and support ACE staff in the planning and implementation of after-school and summer academic programming to ensure alignment with campus goals and student learning needs.
Consultation:
- Provide resources and materials to aid staff in accomplishing campus goals.
- Provide targeted intervention support for individuals and small groups.
- Provide ongoing professional learning for teachers and ensure lead teachers
- Conduct action research to identify problems, propose solutions, establish action research design procedures, and evaluate research outcomes to inform teacher and interventionist practices.
- Consult with parents, administrators, counselors, teachers, community agencies, and other relevant individuals regarding students at the targeted campuses.
Budget and Inventory:
- Solicit state, federal, and corporate funds through grant-writing activities to obtain additional funding for programs and services.
- Ensure that federal/state/local programs are cost-effective and that funds are managed wisely.
- Compile budget and cost estimates based on documented program needs.
Policy, Reports, and Law:
- Assist with the collection, processing, and distribution of data and interpret this information for instructional purposes.
- Oversee special education referral timelines for campus-requested evaluations to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and the local board policy.
Other:
- Oversee and monitor the daily operations and schedule of the Reading Interventionists
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Must be present regularly in person.
