Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Student Intern position within the ACE (After-School and Community Enrichment) Out of School Time Program is to provide valuable support and assistance to the program coordinators and educators in delivering high-quality, engaging, and enriching activities for elementary school students during their out-of-school hours. The Student Intern will play a crucial role in ensuring the success and impact of the ACE program by actively contributing to the planning, implementation, and supervision of a diverse range of educational and recreational activities.

Program Support: Collaborate with ACE program coordinators and staff to assist in the development, organization, and execution of a variety of after-school activities, including homework help, arts and crafts, sports, and STEM-based projects. Student Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive environment where elementary school students can thrive academically and socially, promoting a sense of belonging and enthusiasm for learning. Homework Assistance: Provide one-on-one or small group homework support, tutoring, and guidance to students, helping them develop effective study habits and a sense of responsibility for their learning. Activity Planning: Contribute creative ideas and assist in the development of engaging and age-appropriate activities that align with program goals and curriculum. Resource Management:
Help maintain program supplies, materials, and equipment, ensuring they are organized, well-maintained, and readily available for use. Communication: Maintain effective communication with program staff, parents, and caregivers to update them on student progress, program activities, and any concerns or achievements. Data Collection: Assist in the collection and documentation of program data, including attendance records, student achievements, and feedback, to support program evaluation and improvement. Professional Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops designed to enhance your skills in working with children and contribute to your personal and professional growth. Role Model: Serve as a positive role model for students by demonstrating professionalism, respect, and a commitment to the program's values and mission.

Eligibility: This internship opportunity is exclusively available to students registered at CHS (Community High School) and REACH High School.
Compensation: Interns will receive a competitive compensation of $15 per hour for their valuable contributions to the ACE Out of School Time Program.
ACE Program Participation: In addition to their internship responsibilities, student interns will be required to register for the ACE program and attend on the days that they are not working at the elementary campus. This dual commitment will provide interns with a comprehensive understanding of the ACE program's mission, activities, and impact, allowing them to contribute more effectively to its success.
